At the conference delegates will discuss priority areas of work for representatives of ITF women transport workers and their unions. Delegates will debate an international political strategy that addresses regional priorities and key issues for women within their unions, including: the importance of women within the membership and leadership structure of their unions; the need for campaigning around quality public services; building stronger unions by organising women workers and the on-going work of ITF unions to combat violence against women.
Representatives for ITF women transport workers and their unions are the pioneers of this work and it is they who will take forward the identified priority areas of work and political strategy with the support of the ITF.
